Vacancy: Registrar – six months commitment

The Norwegian Industrial Workers’ Museum (NIA) announces a commitment as registrar. The position is located at the museum’s department for collection management, and will include work with photographs and objects. We are looking for a positive and systematic person with great work capacity. We primarily want a candidate with experience from collection management and knowledge of the subject system Primus.


Documentation and cataloging in Primus
Repro photography and digital image processing

Qualifications we demand:

Experience with Primus
Expertise in digitization of historical photos
Education or experience in museum work, especially collection management

Personal suitability:

Good sense of order
Ability to work independently and structured
Good writing ability

The archive and collection administration (asf) is located in the old Vemork power station in Tinn municipality. We can offer professionally challenging and exciting work assignments. The museum has a flexible working hours scheme and salary according to the state’s rates (estimated salary range salary levels 40 – 45). Accession by appointment, preferably as soon as possible. The employer can be helpful in finding housing if needed.
