In the footsteps of the saboteurs

Foto: Visit Rjukan

The Saboteur Trail is an 8 kilometre trail that starts at Rjukan Fjellstue and ends at Vemork power station. Here you walk the same route as the saboteurs did to carry out one of the most important operations during the Second World War.

On your own or with a guide

You can easily walk the route by yourself. The trail is well marked, and there are posters along the route that tell the story of the sabotage operation. Guided tours are also available in the summer months.

Same time, same place – 80 years later

In 2023 80 years will have passed since the heavy water operation at Vemork. On the night before 28 February a special tour will therefore be carried out in the footsteps of the saboteurs. More information to come. Keep an eye on NIA.no.
