The Spark

The exhibition in Notodden tells the story of Norway's most important invention: the arc furnace and the production of mineral fertilizer. The so called "Norgessalpeter" laid the foundation for the establishment of Norsk Hydro in 1905. The invention led to a better food situation throughout the world.
